Data We Collect
When you create an account via Google or Apple sign-in, we store a randomly generated pseudonym (e.g. "Brave Otter 3472") as your public display name, your email address, and your avatar URL from your sign-in provider. Your real name and email are never shown publicly.
When you use the app, we collect your location to show nearby restrooms. We store reviews, ratings, photos, and contributions you submit. When you file an existence report, we store your GPS coordinates at the time of the report to verify proximity.
How We Use Your Data
Your location is used to find restrooms near you and to verify proximity for existence reports. Aside from existence report coordinates, your location is not persistently stored on our servers. Your reviews and contributions are displayed publicly under your pseudonym to help other users. Your email is used for account identification and is not shared with third parties.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use Aptabase for anonymous, privacy-focused usage analytics (e.g. app opens, searches, reviews submitted). No personal data or device identifiers are sent to Aptabase.
We use Sentry for crash reporting. When a crash occurs, Sentry receives your internal user ID (not your email), device type, OS version, and app version to help us diagnose issues.
Data Storage
Your account data, restrooms, and reviews are stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Photos are stored on Cloudflare R2. Our API runs on Cloudflare Workers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
On your device, we cache restroom data in a local SQLite database (up to 200 entries) and store map tiles (up to 100 MB) for offline use. Your authentication session is stored securely on-device.
Your Rights
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. This permanently removes all your personal data, reviews, photos, and contributions. Restrooms you submitted will remain but will no longer be associated with your account.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google & Apple — authentication
- MapTiler / OpenFreeMap — map tiles
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — reverse geocoding (converts coordinates to addresses)
- OpenRouteService — walking and driving directions
- Aptabase — anonymous usage analytics
- Sentry — crash reporting
- Cloudflare — API hosting, photo storage, caching
- Supabase — database and authentication
